Hurricane Harvey was an epic catastrophe for many Texans, and FirstService Residential and our communities were no exceptions. Many of our communities are fine, many experienced standing water in streets, many of our residents have water in their homes and had to evacuate.
Our office is open Friday, September 1 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 4. We will resume our regular business hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Tuesday, September 5.
Some of the staff will be working and are totally committed to working for your community as we have every day before the storm.
Silversand Services will be completing a drive through of the community while documenting the number of irrigation repairs, tree branches and pruning needed. It has been reported that the medians have been heavily damaged and several beds were driven through on Kirby and Business Center Drive. We suspect there were will be numerous irrigation repairs since the ruts are deep on Business Center Dr. and they also overlapped the medians. There is fallen limbs on Discovery Bay between Kirby and Business Center Dr. that Silversands will be addressing. The information will be provided in August’s landscaping report along with photographs. We are confident that Silversand’s dedicated leadership and crews will have Shadow Creek Ranch at its best in record time.
The pools are being inspected, and Lake Management is assisting with flood relief efforts in flooded areas of the city, but will report to Shadow Creek Ranch as soon as they are able to do so. The fountains will be turned back on when the water levels have regulated.
Before the storm we were working on sidewalk repairs. We have approximately 26 sidewalk areas prepared for new concrete and more than thirty cut and ready to be removed. The project will resume as soon as the water dries up and concrete can be scheduled.
We are going to be stronger for this challenge! Patience will be essential during the recovery efforts in our state, city, and in our communities. Resources will be stretched to the max, but we are Texans and Texans survive! Please know that we are here working for you as we recover and look forward in helping you in any way possible.
May God Bless you and your families, our great city and the community of Shadow Creek Ranch
